A round of Le Bandit works in two layers. First, clusters of 5 or more matching symbols pay and cascade off the 6×5 grid, and every position that formed part of a win is marked as a Golden Square. Second, if a Rainbow is on the grid during that spin, every Golden Square turns into a coin, a Clover multiplier or a Pot of Gold collector and pays out. Free spins keep those squares alive across several spins, which is where the slot's 10,000x ceiling comes from.
Step by step: one spin of Le Bandit
The steps below follow a single base game spin from start to payout.
- Choose your stake. The bet control sets the total bet, from €0.10 to €100. All payouts, coin values and Buy prices are multiples of it.
- Press spin. Thirty symbols drop onto six reels of five rows.
- Check for clusters. Five or more identical symbols touching horizontally or vertically form a win. Diagonal contact does not count, and there are no paylines.
- Let the Super Cascade run. The winning symbols and every other symbol of the same type on the grid are removed. New symbols fall into the gaps and the grid is checked again, until no new cluster forms.
- Note the Golden Squares. Every position that formed part of a win is highlighted once its symbol disappears.
- Rainbow or no Rainbow. If a Rainbow is present, all Golden Squares activate (see below). If not, the spin ends with the cluster wins only, and the squares clear before the next base game spin.
Controls and settings
Le Bandit uses Hacksaw's standard interface, built for portrait phone screens and scaled up for desktop.
- Bet control: raises or lowers the total stake in preset steps.
- Spin button: starts a single round.
- Autoplay and faster spin modes: in the menu, where your casino's jurisdiction allows them.
- Info / rules screen: shows the paytable at your current stake, the full feature rules and the active RTP.
- Buy menu: lists the Bonus Buy and FeatureSpins options, where permitted.
How wins and symbols work
Le Bandit has ten regular paying symbols. Five premium symbols (top hat, baguettes, beer mug, cheese and bear trap) pay more than the five card royals (A, K, Q, J, 10). Payouts rise with cluster size, from the 5-symbol minimum up to 13 or more. The Wild substitutes for regular symbols to help complete clusters.

The paytable inside the game shows values already converted to your stake, which is easier to use than multipliers. What it will also show is that cluster wins are the small part of the game. Their bigger job is to create Golden Squares for the Rainbow to cash in.
How Golden Squares pay
When a Rainbow lands on a spin that has Golden Squares, the game runs a fixed sequence. Knowing it lets you follow what is happening on screen.
- Reveal: each square shows a Bronze Coin (0.2x-4x), Silver Coin (5x-20x), Gold Coin (up to 500x), Four-Leaf Clover or Pot of Gold.
- Multiply: each Clover multiplies the cells next to it, Pots of Gold included, by 2x to 10x.
- Collect: each Pot of Gold gathers every coin in view and any other Pot, in order from top-to-bottom, left-to-right. With two Pots, the second collects the first.
- Repeat once: after the last Pot finishes, the Golden Squares activate one more time and the cycle runs again.
Example with illustrative values: four squares reveal a Bronze 1x, a Silver 5x, a Clover beside the Silver showing x4, and a Pot of Gold. The Silver becomes 20x, the Pot collects 1 + 20 = 21x, and at a €0.50 stake that is €10.50 before the second pass.
Free spins in order of appearance
FS symbols land in the base game. The number landing on one spin decides which round you get, and each round changes how long Golden Squares survive.
3 FS: Luck of the Bandit
8 free spins. Golden Squares stay highlighted between spins until a Rainbow activates them, so wins on quiet spins still count later. Two FS symbols during the round add 2 spins, three add 3, and four upgrade you to All That Glitters Is Gold with your remaining spins plus 4.
4 FS: All That Glitters Is Gold
12 free spins. Golden Squares stay highlighted for the entire round, even after activation, so every Rainbow pays all the squares built so far. Retriggers work as in Luck of the Bandit.
5 FS: Treasure at the End of the Rainbow
12 free spins with permanent Golden Squares and a Rainbow on every spin. It is the strongest round in the game and the only one that cannot be bought.
Using the Bonus Buy menu
Where permitted, Le Bandit offers four ways to pay for faster access to features. Prices are multiples of your current stake.
| Option | Cost | How it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins™ | 3x | Every spin while active; 5x the usual bonus trigger chance |
| Rainbow FeatureSpins | 50x | Every spin while active; a Rainbow lands each spin |
| Luck of the Bandit | 100x | Once, for the 8-spin round |
| All That Glitters Is Gold | 250x | Once, for the 12-spin round |
Check the stake before you open the menu. A 250x buy at €2 is €500, and the menu charges whatever bet is currently set.
Common mistakes in Le Bandit
Most avoidable losses in Le Bandit come from settings, not from the game.
- Not checking the RTP version. The same game can run at 96.34% or at 88.36%. The info screen tells you which.
- Leaving FeatureSpins switched on. Rainbow FeatureSpins cost 50x on every spin. Twenty spins is 1,000x, four times the price of the best buyable round.
- Buying with the wrong stake. Raising the bet for one spin and then opening the Buy menu multiplies the buy price too.
- Expecting the 5-scatter round from a buy. Treasure at the End of the Rainbow is natural-trigger only.
- Reading a missed Rainbow as "due". A big grid of squares with no Rainbow says nothing about the next spin. Each spin is random and independent.
