Le Pharaoh is the second game in Hacksaw Gaming's "Le" series, released on 26 September 2024, and the one that lets you choose your bonus. Smokey moves to ancient Egypt on a 6×5 grid with 19 paylines. Winning symbols stick and re-drop, every sticky symbol leaves a Golden Square, and a Rainbow at the end of the sequence triggers Golden Riches, the coin-and-collector reveal from Le Bandit. Three or four scatters open a Bonus Choice between free spins and a lives-based mode. RTP is 96.18% in the top version, volatility is 3/5, and the max win is 15,000x.

This information explains Sticky Re-drops, the Golden Riches sequence, how to choose between Luck of the Pharaoh and Lost Treasures, the Buy menu and the RTP versions casinos can run.
Le Pharaoh characteristics
Le Pharaoh keeps the Golden Squares idea but changes the win system and adds a decision point at the trigger.

Le Pharaoh summary
Le Pharaoh changes how Golden Squares are made. Instead of clusters cascading away, a payline win freezes in place and the rest of the grid re-drops around it. Each extension of the win sticks too, so one small line can grow into a large block of sticky symbols, and every one of them leaves a Golden Square behind. If a Rainbow is on the grid when the re-drops stop, the whole block turns into coins and collectors.
The second change is choice. At three or four scatters the game asks you to pick between a free spin round built on Golden Squares and a lives-based round built on Stone Tablets that keep boosting Coins. That decision is the reason many players prefer Le Pharaoh to the original: two players with the same trigger can end up in very different rounds.
Theme, design and sound
Smokey becomes a raccoon pharaoh in front of a pyramid, with a Pharaoh scroll as the Wild and the Irish luck symbols from Le Bandit (Rainbows, Clovers, Pots of Gold) carried over into an Egyptian setting. The tablets in Lost Treasures are the main new visual element.

The interface is Hacksaw's portrait-first layout. The design choice that helps most is the Bonus Choice screen: both rounds are presented side by side at the moment of the trigger, so the decision is quick and clear.
RTP, volatility and max win
Hacksaw supplies Le Pharaoh in four RTP versions: 96.18%, 94.33%, 92.26% and 88.24%. The casino chooses one, and the info screen shows which. Over 1,000 spins at €1, the theoretical gap between the top and bottom versions is 1,000 × €1 × (96.18% − 88.24%) ≈ €79.40, which is worth knowing before you pick a casino.

Volatility is 3/5. The base game can produce sizeable Golden Riches events on its own, but the 15,000x cap is realistic mainly in Rainbow Over the Pyramids, the five-scatter round with a Rainbow on every spin.
| Stake | Max win (15,000x) |
|---|---|
| €0.10 | €1,500 |
| €1.00 | €15,000 |
| €10.00 | €150,000 |
How to play Le Pharaoh
One spin follows a fixed order, which makes the game easy to follow once you have seen it a few times.
- Set the stake. The minimum is €0.10; coin values and Buy costs scale with your bet.
- Spin. Wins pay on 19 fixed paylines.
- Sticky Re-drops. Winning symbols stick and the rest re-drops until no new win or extension forms.
- Golden Squares. Every paying symbol that stuck leaves a Golden Square.
- Rainbow check. If a Rainbow is on the grid at the end, Golden Riches activates.
- Scatters. 3 or 4 FS open the Bonus Choice; 5 FS start Rainbow Over the Pyramids.
Le Pharaoh symbols and what they do
The regular symbols pay on paylines; the rest drive Golden Riches and Lost Treasures. Coin values are multiples of the total stake. Exact line payouts at your stake are in the in-game paytable.

Sticky Re-drops
When a payline win lands, its symbols stick and the other positions re-drop. Any new symbols that extend the win or create a new one also stick, and the re-drop repeats until nothing new forms. Only then are the wins paid. Every paying symbol that sticks creates a Golden Square on its position. Rainbow and FS symbols landing alongside a sticky win also stay on the grid, though they do not create squares. Everything sticky clears at the start of the next spin.
Golden Riches
If a Rainbow is on the grid when the re-drops finish, every Golden Square activates. The order matters, because it decides what multiplies what.
- Squares reveal Coins, Pots of Gold, Green Clovers or Golden Clovers.
- Green Clovers multiply their neighbours; Golden Clovers multiply every Coin and Pot on the grid.
- Pots of Gold collect all Coins and other Pots, top-to-bottom, left-to-right.
- The remaining Golden Squares activate again, and the process repeats.
The Golden Clover is the big addition over Le Bandit. One whole-grid x20 on a reveal that holds a 100x Gold Coin turns it into 2,000x by itself.
Worked example (illustrative values). A sticky win leaves six Golden Squares and a Rainbow is on the grid. They reveal a Bronze 2x, a Silver 10x, a Gold 25x, a Green Clover next to the Silver showing x5, a Golden Clover showing x2 and a Pot of Gold. The Silver becomes 50x, then the Golden Clover doubles every Coin: 4x + 100x + 50x. The Pot collects 154x, or €15.40 at a €0.10 stake, before the second pass.
Bonus Choice
Three or four FS symbols in the base game open a menu with two very different rounds. The choice is the game's defining feature.
Luck of the Pharaoh (3 FS) and Super Luck of the Pharaoh (4 FS)
Free spins with Sticky Re-drops and Golden Riches active, where Golden Squares stay highlighted until the end of the round, even after a Rainbow activates them. The standard version gives 10 spins. The Super version gives 12, improves the odds of higher-value Coins and Pots of Gold, and reveals at least one Clover every time Golden Riches activates. In both, 2 FS add 2 spins and 3 FS add 4.
Lost Treasures (3 FS) and Super Lost Treasures (4 FS)
A lives-based mode with 3 refilling lives and no paying symbols, only blanks, Coins, Clovers, Pots of Gold and two Stone Tablets. Coins, Pots and Tablets stick. Any active symbol refills lives; three spins without one end the round, as does a completely filled grid. The Super version places an Adding Stone Tablet on the first spin and improves the odds of higher-value Coins and Pots. Because Tablets keep working on every spin they survive, a long Lost Treasures round compounds in a way the free spins do not.
Which to choose
Luck of the Pharaoh spreads value across a set number of spins and depends on Rainbows landing. Lost Treasures depends on how long you keep refilling lives, and a long round with two Tablets working can build fast. The choice changes how the round behaves, not the randomness of what lands.
| Round | Trigger | Length | Key rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luck of the Pharaoh | 3 FS (choice) | 10 spins | Golden Squares kept all round |
| Lost Treasures | 3 FS (choice) | 3 refilling lives | Stone Tablets boost Coins every spin |
| Super Luck of the Pharaoh | 4 FS (choice) | 12 spins | Better Coins, a Clover on every activation |
| Super Lost Treasures | 4 FS (choice) | 3 refilling lives | Adding Tablet on spin one, better Coins |
| Rainbow Over the Pyramids | 5 FS | 12 spins | Rainbow on every spin; not buyable |
Rainbow Over the Pyramids
Five FS symbols in the base game skip the menu and start this Epic Bonus: 12 free spins where Golden Squares stay highlighted for the whole round and a Rainbow lands on every spin. It is Le Pharaoh's equivalent of Le Bandit's top round and its main route to 15,000x. Retriggers work as in Luck of the Pharaoh.
Can you buy the bonus in Le Pharaoh?
Yes, where permitted. The menu has four options; Rainbow Over the Pyramids is not one of them.
| Option | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins™ | 3x per spin | Each spin about 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus |
| Rainbow FeatureSpins | 60x per spin | A Rainbow with a winning combination on every spin |
| "You Must Choose…" | 100x | The 3-scatter Bonus Choice: Luck of the Pharaoh or Lost Treasures |
| "…But Choose Wisely" | 250x | The 4-scatter Super choice |
Both direct buys still let you choose the round, so you can buy the menu and decide inside it.
Le Pharaoh demo vs real money
Hacksaw's Le Pharaoh page has a "Try it" button, and many casinos host the same demo. It is the best place to try both sides of the Bonus Choice before risking money.
| Demo | Real money | |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | Virtual credits | Your deposited funds |
| RTP version | Whatever the host loads | Set by the casino |
| Winnings | Cannot be withdrawn | Withdrawable under casino terms |
| Best use | Comparing Luck of the Pharaoh with Lost Treasures | Playing with a set budget |
Le Pharaoh on mobile
Le Pharaoh runs in mobile browsers on iOS and Android with no download. The portrait layout keeps the sticky blocks and Golden Squares easy to see, and the Bonus Choice screen works well with a thumb tap.
How to approach a Le Pharaoh session
A few choices matter more here than in most slots, because the game asks you to make one.
- Pick the casino by RTP. 96.18% and 88.24% are the same game with very different long-run returns.
- Decide your Bonus Choice in advance. Settle on Luck of the Pharaoh or Lost Treasures before the trigger, so the decision is not made in the heat of the moment.
- Count FeatureSpins as a per-spin cost. Five Rainbow FeatureSpins at 60x is 300x, more than the 250x Super buy.
Each spin and each round is random; the choice changes the shape of a round, not the odds behind it.
Pros and cons
Le Pharaoh's strengths come from the choice it gives you.
- Bonus Choice - two genuinely different rounds at the same trigger.
- Golden Clover - a whole-grid multiplier that Le Bandit lacks.
- 15,000x ceiling - 50% higher than the original.
The trade-offs:
- Wide RTP spread - the bottom version is 88.24%.
- Top round not buyable - Rainbow Over the Pyramids needs five scatters.
- More to learn - five bonus modes and two tablet types.
Who Le Pharaoh suits
Le Pharaoh suits players who know Le Bandit and want more control over the bonus they get, plus a higher ceiling. Players who prefer lines to clusters will also find it more familiar. If you want the original, simpler engine, start with Le Bandit. If the Mystery-symbol approach appeals, compare it with Le Zeus, the other payline game in the series.
